Eligibility
- Academic Qualification: A candidate should have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in **any stream** (Science, Commerce, or Arts/Humanities).
- Year of Appearance: Candidates who have appeared for the Class XII examination for the first time in the preceding or current year are eligible.
- Number of Attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
đAge Limit
Yes, there is an age limit. The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1999 (age relaxation of 5 years applies for SC, ST, and PwD categories).
đ¨Detailed Syllabus
The exam has two parts, testing a candidate's aptitude for design.
- Part A (Objective): Visualization and Spatial Ability, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Environmental and Social Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, Language and Creativity, Design Thinking and Problem Solving.
- Part B (Subjective): This part consists of one question to test the candidate's drawing and design aptitude. It requires sketching skills to communicate ideas effectively.

- Step 1: Appear for UCEED Exam. All candidates must appear for both Part A and Part B.
- Step 2: Merit Rank Calculation. A merit rank is calculated based on the combined performance in Part A and Part B. A minimum qualifying score in each part is required.
- Step 3: Joint Admission Process (Counselling). Candidates who secure a merit rank participate in a centralized online counselling process for seat allotment to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs at participating IITs and IIITDM Jabalpur.
