Eligibility
- For PG Diploma Courses (Film Wing): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. (e.g., Direction, Cinematography, Editing).
- For PG Diploma Courses (TV Wing): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. (e.g., Direction, Electronic Cinematography).
- For Acting Course: 10+2 or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree is not mandatory.
- Final year students are also eligible to apply.

đŦDetailed Syllabus
The JET has a common Paper I and a course-specific Paper II.
- Paper I (General Aptitude Test - MCQ): General Knowledge and questions related to Indian History, Culture, Art, Architecture, Music, Folk-art, Cinema, Television, and the Media industry.
- Paper II (Course Specific): This is a descriptive paper to test the candidate's specific knowledge and aptitude for their chosen specialization. For example, it could involve writing a short story or scene (for Direction), visual composition tests (for Cinematography), or a performance test (for Acting).

- Step 1: Joint Entrance Test (JET). All candidates appear for the written test (Paper I & Paper II).
- Step 2: Shortlisting. Candidates are shortlisted based on their JET scores.
- Step 3: Orientation & Interview / Audition. Shortlisted candidates are called to the FTII Pune campus for the final selection round, which includes interviews, creative workshops, and auditions (for acting).
- Step 4: Medical Test & Final Merit List. A final merit list is prepared based on the combined score of the written test and the interview/audition round.
