Clearing the CMA Intermediate exam is a significant achievement that signifies a strong, working knowledge of cost and management accounting. Candidates must first register for the Intermediate course with ICMAI through their official website. After the required study period, they must fill a separate examination form online for each attempt.

Scoring Pattern: To pass a group, a candidate must obtain a minimum of **40% marks in each paper** AND a minimum of **50% marks in the aggregate** of that group. There is **no negative marking** in the objective (MCQ) part.
The duration for each of the eight papers is 3 hours (180 minutes).
The results for the June and December exams are typically declared by the last week of **August** and the last week of **February**, respectively (within 2 months).
The fee structure involves a one-time course registration fee (around âš23,100) and a separate examination fee for each attempt (around âš1,200 for one group or âš2,400 for both). These fees are subject to change by ICMAI.
