A Chartered Accountant is a high-level professional responsible for a company's financial health and compliance. The role involves financial reporting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, strategic financial planning, and advising the management and board of directors.
Candidates must first register for the Final course with ICAI through their Self-Service Portal (SSP) after clearing Intermediate. Subsequently, they must fill a separate examination form for each attempt.

Scoring Pattern: To pass a group, a candidate must obtain a minimum of **40% marks in each paper** AND a minimum of **50% marks in the aggregate** of that group. There is **negative marking of 0.25 marks** for each wrong answer in the objective (MCQ) part of all papers.
The duration for each of the six papers is 3 hours (180 minutes).
Results for the May/June exams are typically declared in July, and results for the November/January exams are declared in January/February, respectively. This is usually within **1.5 to 2 months**.
The fee structure involves a one-time course registration fee (around âš22,000) and a separate examination fee for each attempt (around âš1,800 for one group or âš3,300 for both). These fees are subject to change by ICAI.
